Pınar is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at Koç University and a researcher at the Migration Research Center at Koç University (MiReKoc).
Pınar holds a BA degree in Philosophy and Political Science and International Relations (double major) from Boğaziçi University and an MA degree in Cultural Studies from Sabancı University. She worked at several civil society organizations in Turkey before joining MiReKoc team.
Pınar’s research interests include irregular migration, transit migration, social cohesion, as well as sociology of emotions and affect, aspirations, migration and development.
