The university’s involvement in MIGNEX is rooted in the Migration Research Center (MiReKoc). Established in August 2004, MiReKoc has since evolved from a grant-giving programme to an established research centre. The Center aims to develop research capacity to address migration issues in Turkey and acts as an institutionalized hub for Turkey-related migration research.
