Kourtnie is Samuel Hall's Regional Representative in Somalia and Ethiopia. She holds a degree in communication and studied social entrepreneurship at INSEAD. She has managed research operations in the areas of displacement, education, shelter and water, sanitation and hygiene. As the Regional Representative for Samuel Hall, Kourtnie has managed over 35 projects in the Horn of Africa. She has six years of operations and management experience in conflict and post-conflict settings, including the collection of large scale data on IDP settlements in Somalia and refugee interviews in Ethiopia. Kourtnie has a comprehensive grasp of local hierarchal structures and understands the complexities of conducting research in East Africa.
Kourtnie’s responsibilities within MIGNEX include survey data collection in Ethiopia and Somalia and qualitative data collection in Somalia.
