José Ignacio Carrasco

Ignacio is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society, where he works in the MIGNEX and MORE projects. He holds a Phd in Political and Social Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University, a Master in Migration Management from the same university, and a Master in Demography from Stockholm University. Ignacio's research focuses on labour market integration of migrants, the underpinning mechanisms of emigration, and the links between migration and development, including remittances and changes in family dynamics at origin and destination. He has extensive experience in analysing survey data, using social simulation methods to illustrate theoretical statements and to explore hypothetical scenarios.
