Esther is a Researcher at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society at the University of Oxford and Research Affiliate at IZA-Institute of Labor Economics. She completed her PhD. at Queen Mary University of London. Esther's research covers topics in the fields of labour economics and migration. She has worked on the impact of immigration policies on children’s economic prospect, assimilation and labour market outcomes; and is now focused on the determinants of migration and its impact on the host countries.
Esther’s responsibilities within MIGNEX include preparation and coordination of the policy review, analysis of the effects of the multi-level determination of migration processes, examination of internal incoherence in European policies in the field of migration, examination of links between development cooperation and migration management and evaluation of the overall European approach to third-country cooperation on migration.
