Abdoulaye Wotem Somparé left the MIGNEX project. The information on this page is kept for historical reasons. 

Abdoulaye obtained a PhD in sociology at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales de Paris in 2006, with a thesis on social mobility and reproduction in Guinean mining towns. From 2008 to 2017, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Université Kofi Annan de Guinée and from 2017 to 2021, the vice-rector of the Université Julius Nyerere of Kankan. He also works as a consultant for the World Health Organization and for the IOM and as a senior researcher in international projects on migration and development. His publications and research interests investigate in different ways the questions of social stratification, socio-professional identities, social mobility and reproduction in the Guinean society.
