Katrin is a post-doctoral researcher at Maastricht University | UNU-MERIT and its Maastricht Graduate School of Governance. She holds a PhD from Maastricht University, a MSc in Public Policy and Human Development from the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance and a Diplom in Economics from the University of Trier.
She has extensive experience working as a researcher on a variety of projects in the field of migration using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Among these were evaluations of programmes and policies, migration profiles and mappings as well as extensive literature reviews.
Her main research interests are in migration and development, specifically labour migration, migrants’ occupational choices and the inter-linkages of migration and private sector development.
